During the workshop, participants looked at temporary minimal crisis architecture as a tool for dealing with emergencies: social, political, and environmental crises in society. The students designed rapidly constructable housing module for people in need of temporary shelter and refugees. The construction is assembled from reused and highly affordable building materials collected within a 10 km radius of the construction site. The amount of waste for construction was kept to a minimum. A system has been developed that allows additional modules to be added as the house grows.
